DO'S & DON'TS of Spring Style
Posted on March 23 2016
The switch to spring style is always highly anticipated. While we still have a couple weeks (or months!) until the temps are truly temperate, it’s never too early to start thinking spring. It’s easy to elevate your spring style – bring out the fancy flats and seasonless loafers and read on for the do’s and don’ts of spring style:
Take a cue from nature and let your wardrobe’s color palette blossom! The colors of the season are Rose Quartz (a warm rose tone) and Serenity (a tranquil blue) – add a piece or two to your closet in these oh-so-current colors and you’re set!
Be afraid to layer up. Layers don’t have to be heavy – try a sweeping, sleeveless vest to add a little extra interest to your look. A denim jacket is a quintessential spring layer – try it in a classic trench shape this season.
Embrace the feminine side of fashion. For spring 2016, models floated down the runways in femme ruffles and flowing fabrics. Take a page from the fashionistas of the world by trying a fresh silhouette for spring.
Forget that the details are what truly define your style. Fun punch out details, a shiny buckle, a great snake print – all these little twists elevate your look.
Stay in the same color family! Choose a color and pair it with one or two shades of the same color. Mix red with pastel pink, navy with sky blue, or white with silver.
