Trends to Try: Lucite Heels

Bare Feet Shoes

Posted on November 17 2016

Kim Kardashian makes it official: Plastic shoes—whether Lucite-heeled or PVC-strapped—are making a comeback. Admittedly, they haven’t been totally gone since the late ‘90s and early ‘00s, when club kids and pole dancers wore them. But when they came back a few years ago, the trend was all about see-though pumps—specifically, Christian Louboutin’s "illusion" pumps and the many, many knockoffs of that shoe. It wasn’t a strappy futuristic sandal like what what we've seen on well-shod ladies this summer.

We never thought we’d say this, but we’re kind of into this look. Paired with simple, modern clothing, it feels fresh. Agree? Here a few styles you can shop now. Let’s just promise each other that we won’t wear chokers and denim minis at the same time.
